The history is rich in both York & Adams Counties. In York County our nation s first constitution was adopted on November 15, 1777 in the York County Courthouse. The articles united the 13 colonies by establishing the government of the United State of America.
Adams County encompasses the famous Gettysburg area. The battle of Gettysburg was the pivotal battle during the Civil War. Today there are many battle field tours, battle re-enactments and antique stores to enjoy.
